In 2012, a group of Missouri writers met at the Rolla Public Library for a NaNoWriMo write-in and from that Writers Coven was born.

 

We're a group of writers in south-central Missouri who meet every third Saturday of the month in either Rolla or Salem. We're an odd assortment of fantasy, science fiction, fairy tale, crime, horror, historical writers.

 

THINGS WE DO

• FRIDAY NIGHT WRITES: We meet online every Friday night, in the CHAT. These online write-ins are open to everyone, not just local writers. So feel free to spread the word to your web-savvy-literary friends.

• COLLAORATE: We collaborate once a year on a book, whether a string-along novel(ella) or anthology. 

• ENCOURAGE: We try to help each other along in the crazy endeavor of being a writer. A writer must write.

• CRITIQUE: We use the COMMUNITY for helping critique each other's works. Some folks are looking to grow their narrative, and want this constructive criticism. Sorry folks, the Community is only available to local members.

We are very much in beta as a group. We're going through growing pains, and trying new things and failing others. But we hope this group can be a great help to its members current and future. Welcome to the Coven!
